Escape the airports and Queensland crowds and enjoy a stress free, short break in the winter. Visit Port Fairy and you will quietly appreciate many aspects of the region about which you may not have been previously aware - the arts and music culture, fine restaurants, and a population that embraces a variety of special interests from genealogy, history, traditional crafts, and music and literature appreciation.

Visitors to Port Fairy are invariably charmed by the quaintness and friendliness of this seaside village and can always find a spot where they feel particularly comfortable – whether it is enjoying a few beers at the oldest pub in Victoria, fish and chips by the river or the excellent service and fine dining which Port Fairy is becoming famous for.

Port Fairy is beautiful in the winter. Rug up and walk for miles along the beaches or browse the bookshops, antiques stores and art galleries. Alternatively, stay inside and enjoy the coffee shops, cafes, pubs and the variety of fantastic restaurants. All venues are well heated, many with open fireplaces. Many accommodation houses have great winter specials which you can combine with the winter weekends planned for 2008. Ticket sales will begin in May for all events.
